"AH DUNNO!" - 14th February

anticant is away to hospital today, this time for an MRI scan. He is not looking forward to being encased in a windowless tube for half an hour or more, and will have to mobilise his best meditation techniques to avert claustrophobic panic.

While he is away, ben and the beadle are keeping the Snug warm and welcoming if anyone cares to drop in for a drink and a natter.

You are right Anticant : those scan tubes can be awful.
No joke here.
But toooomorrow - just wait.
Jokes will be back.

Hope all goes/went well with the scan. I'll settle down in the snug with a jar of Old Peculier.

Anticant
Hope that you don't suffer too much, that you are safely back and taking it nice and easy.
I would avoid the snug - trousers is being peculiar again....

Oh, but lavender - have you never tried Old Peculier? Liquid Heaven in a glass!

Erm, no trousers, I haven't.
Is that how you came to fall off your bike ?
My idea of Heaven in a glass is Whisky.Or Brandy.
But i bow to your experience, dearie..........

*searches for innuendo in that last sentence*

...well as beers go, it's one of my favourites. Lovely stuff. As distinct from a cattle grid, which carried a lot of the responsibility for me falling off my bike...

There are some beers around with very strange names.
'Dog's Bollocks' to name but two,
and Ole something else....
Actually I am quite partial to Drambuie.and Benedictine..well, anything on the top-shelf.
Rather like you trousers, but in a different context, Ahem.

Another favourite is Bishop's Finger. Please note lavender, its another BEER!

I shall hold off from any response to that, since it might result in the Beadle ejecting me from the Snug (which sounds like an extended euphemism in itself)
